You order the flasher for your bike from our online shop at shop.bhp-uk.net; apart from the flasher and our software, all you need is a Windows PC or laptop.

What is the ECU Flasher?

It is a device that connects your bike to a computer so its ECU can be read and written without a trip to a workshop. You buy a flasher for your make and model from our online shop, which lists flasher remaps for makes including Aprilia, Benelli, BMW Motorrad, CFMOTO and Ducati.

Each flasher is locked to one motorbike. The price includes one bespoke remap for your bike and its modifications. Writing any further files to the bike carries an extra charge.

What you need

• The flasher for your bike, from shop.bhp-uk.net.
• A Windows PC or laptop. In our shop’s words: “All you need is a Windows PC/Laptop!”
• The BHP UK ECU software. Download the ECU Flasher software (version 2.0.0.20, a 147MB installer).

Step by step

1. Install the software. Download the BHP UK ECU software and install it on your Windows PC or laptop.
2. Connect and update the flasher. Connect the flasher and bring it up to date before you read your ECU.
3. Read your ECU. Use the flasher to read the file from your bike’s ECU.
4. Send us the file. Our map writers remap the file read from your own bike, so the map is bespoke to it and to its modifications. Tell us about any changes you have made, such as an aftermarket exhaust or air intake.
5. Receive your map. We send back your modified file. Our shop gives a turnaround of 1–2 working days on all motorcycle ECU Flasher remaps.
6. Flash the map. Load the modified file onto your bike with the flasher.

Where the map comes from

The map you flash is written by the same in-house team that develops every BHP UK remap. We don’t use base maps from other companies and simply tweak them to run on your bike. Read how we develop our bike remaps.

Models that need the ECU sent in

Not every bike can be flashed at home. Models marked “ECU OUT” on our shop need the ECU sent to BHP UK to be remapped, with no flasher involved. Check your model’s listing on the shop before you order.

The 30-day money-back guarantee

Our shop’s refund policy says: “ECU Flashers are covered by a 30-day money back guarantee from the date the modified file is sent to you.”

Before you return a flasher, the original (OEM) file must be reinstalled on the bike and all components returned. The policy is clear that “A refund is void if the modified file is still installed or kept on the vehicle.” Read the full refund policy before you send anything back, as it covers return postage and other conditions.

Delivery

Flasher orders placed before 3pm GMT, Monday to Friday, are dispatched the same working day. UK orders go by Royal Mail Special Delivery for the next working day by 1pm, and international orders by UPS Express. Our shop team is available 9am to 5.30pm GMT, Monday to Friday, on 01282 779 000.
