Yes, if it’s in our tables. We list 44 scooter variants across 20 models from eight makes, from 125cc Vespas to the 850cc Aprilia SRV. A modern scooter’s ECU manages fuelling and ignition in the same way a motorcycle’s does, and we remap it the same way: with maps written in-house for your scooter and any parts you’ve fitted.
These are the scooter models in our remap tables. Each make page lists every variant with its standard power in kW, PS and bhp.
| Make | Scooter models in our tables | Listed variants |
|---|---|---|
| Aprilia | Atlantic, Scarabeo 500, SportCity, SR, SRV | 7 |
| Derbi | GP1, Rambla | 2 |
| Gilera | GP800, Nexus | 3 |
| Malaguti | Spidermax 500 | 1 |
| Piaggio | Beverly, MP3, X10, X9 | 17 |
| Quadro | Q3, Qooder | 2 |
| Vespa | 946, GTS, LX | 9 |
| Yamaha | T-MAX | 3 |
| Total | 20 models | 44 |
The Piaggio Beverly has the most entries, with nine variants from the 125 to the 500. Standard outputs run from 11bhp (the Vespa 946 and LX, and the Aprilia SR 150) to 75bhp (the Aprilia SRV 850), with the Gilera GP800 close behind at 74bhp. Our listings start at 125cc.
Some of these makes also build motorcycles, so their pages list those too. Honda’s X-ADV 750 is listed on our Honda page. If your scooter isn’t listed, call us to ask. The motorcycle remap finder shows every make we cover.
A scooter’s ECU controls its fuelling and ignition, as a motorcycle’s does; our guide to what motorcycle remapping is explains the ECU in more detail.
A remap rewrites those settings. On a BHP UK bike remap, the aims are to:
Our bike tables show standard output only. None of them list remapped figures, for scooters or any other machine. We offer a free consultation to discuss what you want from your scooter.
If you’ve fitted an aftermarket exhaust or air intake, our advice is to remap the ECU so the engine runs correctly with the new parts. The factory map was calibrated for the standard exhaust and airbox. Our guide to remapping after an exhaust explains why, and our guide to flat spots and throttle response covers the complaints a remap is meant to fix.
All of our remaps are developed by our in-house team of map writers. We don’t take another company’s base map and tweak it to suit. Our guide to how we develop bike remaps explains how we log and test each map on our Dynojet 250i.
You can have your scooter remapped at our Burnley workshop, at home with our ECU Flasher where your model is supported (check the BHP UK shop), or by sending us the ECU; remap your bike at home explains each route.
Find your make in the table above, then call 01282 779 000 to book your scooter in at our Burnley workshop or check whether it can be done with the ECU Flasher. You can also search our remap dealer directory.
Yes. Our Vespa page lists the 946, GTS and LX, nine variants in all, from 125cc to 300cc.
Three: the T-MAX 500 (2001 to 2011), the 530 (2012 to 2019) and the 560 (2020 onwards).
Yes. Our Piaggio page lists five MP3 variants, from the 250 to the 500, alongside the Beverly, X9 and X10.
Our advice is to remap whenever an aftermarket exhaust or air intake is fitted, so the fuelling matches the new parts. We write the map for your exact set-up.
